Some days, I pick up my camera with a plan. Other days, I just pick it up and see where it takes me. Photography and videography have always been my passion, and in my spare time, I take them beyond structured projects and deadlines - just me, my camera, and whatever catches my eye.
These outings aren’t about a final product or a polished piece of work. They’re about exploration, instinct, and the thrill of capturing a fleeting moment that might never happen again. These are the frames that never needed a client, a strategy, or a campaign. Just moments I wanted to keep.
001/ BEACH BUM DAYS
I’ve always loved the beach and the ocean. My tan just doesn’t back me up on that. Struisbaai and Langebaan have been family holiday staples for as long as I can remember, packed with beach walks, seafood, and way too much sunblock. Naturally, my camera comes along for the ride.
These shots are a collection of those laid-back days by the water, where the only real plan is to take it all in.
"Langebaan sunsets are a thing of magic" - Said everyone, ever.
Struisbaai = Boats
002/ THE KINGDOM OF ESWATINI (SWAZILAND)
Eswatini is something special. We went to visit family and explore the country after years away. It started from a sad loss, but it became one of those trips that just meant more - something beautiful in the end.
The wildlife? Unbelievable. We saw everything… except giraffes. Then, like Africa had a sense of humour, we found them just chilling on the side of the road on the way home. Classic.
003/ KRUGER MISSION
Our first-ever Kruger trip! Early sunrises, long days in the park, and memories that’ll stick forever. Experiencing it all for the first time as a family made it even better. The images below? Just a few snapshots of an unforgettable adventure.
004/ BIG OCCASIONS
When the big moments happen, I get to put my camera to work for others. I might not have all the fancy gear, but I make the most of what I’ve got - capturing everything as naturally as possible.
One of my favourites? Shooting my soon-to-be in-laws' wedding. A laid-back, intimate day filled with real moments, good people, and memories worth keeping.
005/ LOW-KEY EVENTS
Low-key, but never low effort. Whether it’s a market, festival, or a friend’s event, I love capturing the vibe of the moment. No staged shots—just the energy, the people, and the little details that make it memorable.
006/ COWS
My girlfriend loves them, so naturally, I take photos of them. Whether we’re on a road trip or just out exploring, she’ll always spot them first. And when we get the chance to get up close, the cameras come out. Some people collect souvenirs—I guess we collect cow photos.
007/ CARS
Cars. My first love. My forever love.
Since I was a kid, I’ve been obsessed with them - all shapes, all sizes, all eras. Don’t ask me about cars unless you have a few hours to spare. They’re also what got me into photography in the first place. Back when I barely knew how to work a camera, I was out there shooting cars, figuring it out as I went. Safe to say, I never stopped.
008/ RANDOM SIGNS
Signs. Easily one of the most fun things to photograph.
There’s something about them - bold, weird, corporate, vintage, or just completely out of place. Whether it’s a striking neon glow, a street sign with an attitude, or something hilariously lost in translation, I can’t resist snapping a photo. The options are endless, and that’s what makes it great.
Somewhere in the streets of Cape Town CBD.
009/ BUILDINGS & ARCHITECTURE
Buildings and architecture have always caught my eye. There’s something about the way geometry, design, and function come together to create something both beautiful and practical. Cape Town is the perfect playground for this - modern glass towers, colonial-era gems, and everything in between.
It can be a sleek cityscape or a crumbling relic with a story to tell, I love capturing the character and detail in every structure.
