Captured and highlighted the magical moments on the Kidd's wedding day.
I had the opportunity to capture and highlight a close friend's wedding day, offering them more than just photos—memories they could watch back forever. As part of my gift to them, I took on the challenge of filming and editing their wedding, making sure every meaningful moment was caught on camera. This was my first time filming a wedding, and wow, what a learning experience! Weddings move fast, and with just one camera, one lens, and one me, I had to be everywhere at once. A massive but rewarding learning curve that pushed my videography and editing skills in new ways.
01/ TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Creating a rough shot-list and plan of action beforehand.
Captured all video footage. 1 man, 1 camera.
Editing the final wedding films and creating highlight clips for the couple to relive their day.
02/ WINS & HIGHLIGHTS
Capturing beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime moments.
Giving back to friends in a way that truly meant something.
First-ever wedding shoot - nerve-wracking but exciting!
Successfully capturing everything while staying out of the way of the paid photographers.
03/ WHAT I LEARNT
More references = better results. Watching or requesting more reference videos beforehand would have made shooting more structured.
Less is more… and more is less. Without a shot list, I had to work fast and capture as much as possible - but damn, it was exhausting.
